Circuit of Cirencester |
---|
Leader:Chris Walters |
Start Time:9:30 am |
Start Location:Cerney Wick (just off A417 between Swindon and Cir |
Description:69km at a moderate pace doing a flat(ish) clockwise circuit of Cirencester, taking in Kemble, Daglingworth, Barnsley, Bibury, Fairford and Latton. No planned stops, but could be persuaded en route There's a really nice visitor centre / cafe at the start/finish, together with a large Cotswold Outdoor shop. Probably have coffee before the start (get there early if you want a coffee) and a cake afterwards. You must let me know if you plan to come along - if no-one calls me, the ride won't happen! |

Riders:Amanda SeddonChris Walters Henk Altmann (deceased) Jon Seddon Sorrel Williams Riders = 5 Report:The ride went as planned - a good quick start as a warm up as far as Kemble, where the roads become a little more "undulating" and navigation more of a challenge. Fantastic Cotswold villages at Winson, Ablington and Bibury led us back through the mist towards Fairford, where Sorrel suffered a puncture. We had a quick run back to Cerney Wick from Fairford - total distance 72.5km, average speed 23.5km/h, lunch stop for the leisurely at the end. | ||
