Description:Monthly 60-70km (38-45 miles) afternoon ride, with a tea stop, riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). Likely to visit distant destinations. Not suitable for irregular riders. Climbing likely. An old favourite. Heading north for an arc round Witney and dipping our cleats into the Windrush and Evenlode valleys. A mix of small country lanes and some larger roads where we can stretch our legs. A few hills as we flirt with the fringes of the Cotswolds – plus the climb from Tadpole Bridge to Buckland – but nothing serious. Small section of bridle path. Tea stop at Aston Pottery. 78.4km. And we were home 8 minutes ahead of the advertised time! One day the wind will stop … | ||
