Sorry!Thirteen riders left promptly at 6.30 and we collected Mila and Tim along the route to swell the numbers. A very welcome return to Terry, who shared sweeping duties with Karl on his shiny new bike with more bells and whistles that you could shake a stick at! Totally incident free, many thanks to all for making my job so easy and pleasant.

May be hilly.A quirky little ride anticlockwise round the vale going out through Denchworth and Goosey, heading towards Baulking and then turning to go through Kingston Lisle. From there up to Sparsholt Firs. Descending through the Letcombes back to Grove. Jo Little Secondary Ride Leader |

Riders:Adam CavendishBarry Stanton Clare Hazell David Talboys Eddie Little James Bosley Jane John Jo Little Jon Townsin Joy Arthur Karen Froud Kirsten Smith LeeAnn Norris Nicole Pethybridge Sharon Bedford Yvonne Bird Riders = 16 Weather:Report:What a lovely evening to be out riding was the echo around the lanes as 16 riders in two groups took an more unusual turn around the vale.Heading to Denchworth seemed normal enough and then we did a reverse loop through Goosey, Baulking and Kingston Lisle just to warm us up. I led the first group and Jane the second. However we weren't far away from the 2* riders who crossed us from the opposite direction at the bottom of blowing stone. I even managed to surprise myself with the route as we dropped into Sparsholt before making our way up to Sparsholt Firs. Whilst the climb was steady with a sting in its tail the views and evening air was wondrous and rewarded with the swoop down Chain Hill. Everyone remarked how different a route is done in the opposite direction and the winding roads through the Letcombs proved that. With many in the first group returning from injury or illness and the second group ably navigated as a duo, rally car style with Yvonne calling out instructions to Jo, much was achieved in a short sunny ride. Thanks to the sweeps Jane and David for their support and everyone else for a happy ride .

Riders:Andy CowanCharlie Clayton Frank Schroer Jason Jones Paul Jarvis Peter Cowan Richard Burnham Sian Mitchell Riders = 8 Weather:Report:It`s good to see the 4* numbers are solid this year with our regulars supplemented by a healthy supply of "older" faces each week.Welcome to Charlie who joined for the first time and it was good to see Sian back after injury, hoovering up plenty of ladies Top Ten segments on Strava. The weather was perfect for a quick ride but I have to admit that although we only climbed 400 metres they certainly stung my thighs a lot more than on my recce the other day,but mostly we all coped pretty well. Three of us stopped for a quick pint at the King`s Arms where Frank ate most of my pork scratchings, and you don`t get many in a bag.Noted.
