Hello everyone
It has been an encouraging 2017 for the club so far – very good numbers on all of the rides (despite some fairly exciting weather), a fine club dinner at the Wheatsheaf in East Hendred, a very positive Ride Leaders meeting to plan out the ride calendar for the rest of the year and – very importantly – the arrival of the first batch of our new club clothing!
We sorted out a small order from the Committee members in order to get us over the minimum order to cover the set-up costs and so now we are ready to go with routine ordering. The supplier will set up an online shop so that items can be ordered individually at any time you like, but since we have been getting a lot of interest in this subject, we are arranging a one-off bulk order now in order to take advantage of a discount and therefore secure the best prices. You will find full details on a new page on the club website, click on the “Resources’ tab and then the ‘Club Clothing’ page on the list in the blue box on the right of the page.
Karen Townsin is coordinating this and she will be collecting orders up until Friday 10th March, when our bulk order will go in. It is well worth ordering in this way, because the discount prices we will achieve are going to be 15-20% less than the standalone club shop prices going forward.
